Who is Eligible?
- CWS diplomates are a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, podiatrists, physical therapists and other healthcare providers.
- A licensed healthcare professional with a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree in a life sciences related field with three (3) or more years of clinical wound care experience is eligible to take the CWS examination, administered by the American Academy of Wound Management.
- Healthcare professionals engaged in wound care management are rewarded the CWS credential upon successful completion of the CWS certification examination.
CWS is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), which is the accreditation body of the National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA). NCCA accredits certification programs based on the highest quality standards in professional certification.
AAWM is part of an elite group of organizations whose programs have received and maintained the prestigious NCCA accreditation.
CWS is a multidisciplinary wound management certification, fully accredited by NCCA.
