The American Board of Wound Management is the standard of excellence in multidisciplinary wound certification. The ABWM offers three certifications:
Certified Wound Care Associate™ (CWCA®)
A healthcare or sales and marketing professional with at least 3 years of wound care experience and a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Certified Wound Specialist® (CWS®)
A licensed healthcare professional with a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in a life sciences field with 3 or more years of clinical wound care experience.
Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP)
MD's, DO's and DPM's who are currently Certified Wound Specialists (CWS) with the ABWM.
